Imagine that you walk through a deep wood at snowy night… The stars are shining, the trees seem almost abstract, there’re shadows everywhere. That’s what came to my mind when I saw the navy Wildwood prototype with tussah from Rowan Bay.
I must admit that I didn’t like the Wildwood pattern when I first saw it – I felt it was too narrative for me. But when the tester arrived, I completely fell in love – this pattern reminds me of the woods which I love but is almost abstract, not narrative! Very original – and so beautiful!
It’s the first wrap which pattern enchanted my husband (after almost 6 years of babywearing!).
The aesthetics of the wrap is always very important for me – and Wildwood surpasses all the expectations. I love these blue and navy tussah nubs and slubs, making a great scenery for the abstract trees! I could stare at this wrap very long (and both sides are enchanting – definitely there’s no “right” and “left” side, both show beautiful contrasts which I love!).
But wraps are not to be stared at but – worn 
😉 so…
The tester I had the opportunity to try was size 6 – my base and beloved size, giving many possibilities to play with.
I took it for a longer walk in the forest and after that – practised different carries at home. We tried simple rucksack, double hammock, shepherd’s carry, FWCC and FCC.
Wildwood is a thinner wrap – but very strong, which makes it capable to carry my 15 kgs girl in single-layer carries (however, my picky arms prefered it in multi-layer-carries). It’s grippy but not too grippy: you can easily make a DH or shepherd’s carry with it (no struggling at all!).
In double hammock I found some cush, which is rather rare in thin tussah wraps.
My not-so-little girl liked the fact that the nubs and slubs are not itchy, there’s not much “wood” in the wildwood

Last but not least – although breaking in is not a problem for me – I prefer soft-from-the-box wraps – and Wildwood is soft 🙂
I’d recommend this wrap both for small children (softness) and bigger ones (strength) – for all those babywearing parents who love the pure Beauty.
I’ll be missing this wrap so much.
Kiedy po raz pierwszy zobaczyłam prototyp Rowan Bay Wildwood (tussah), przed moimi oczyma stanął ośnieżony las nocą, z białymi sylwetkami drzew na tle rozgwieżdżonego nieba i nocą skrzącą się milionem odcieni na śniegu…
Muszę przyznać, że kiedy pierwszy raz zobaczyłam ten wzór, myślałam, że nie jest dla mnie, że jest zbyt narracyjny. Jednak kiedy prototyp z tussah zagościł u mnie, przekonałam się, jak bardzo byłam w błędzie – wzór jest niemal abstrakcyjny, a różnokolorowe “fafolki” jedwabne dodają mu dodatkowego uroku…
Estetyka chusty jest dla mnie bardzo ważna – i Wildwood z tussah przechodzi najśmielsze oczekiwania w tej kwestii… Mogłabym na tę chustę patrzeć się godzinami…
Ale że chusty nie są do patrzenia, a do noszenia, to parę słów o tym, jak nosi moje ciężkie już dziecko 😉
Tester, który u mnie gościł, to rozmiar 6 – najbardziej uniwersalny, dający najwięcej możliwości “zabawy”. Miękki i plastyczny – świetnie współpracował. Czepliwy wystarczająco, by utrzymać mojego 15 kg “malucha” w plecaku prostym, jednak nie na tyle, by uniemożliwić zawiązanie plecaka z koszulką czy shepherd’s carry.
Ponieważ mam wrażliwe ramiona, zdecydowanie najwygodniej było mi w plecaku z koszulką – chusta odejmowała wtedy kilogramy, a także dawała pewne poczucie miękkości na ramionach (rzadkie w cienkich chustach z jedwabiem).
Na sam koniec zaznaczę, że mojej córze bardzo przypasowało to, że chusta ma śliczne fafolki, ale nie drapie – nie ma w niej wielu jedwabnych patyczków…
Bardzo przyjemnie się tę chustę testowało i z wielkim żalem posłałam ją dalej…
