Stripes a rebours? I wasn’t convinced till I saw them live… They’re so elegant and stylish in fact.
But it wasn’t the only surprise with this wrap.
I’ve never tried Joy and Joe wrap before and was so much curious about this brand. Thanks to an ambassador’s program in which I took part for a moment (and it was a great experience!) I’ve had an opportunity to try a newest J&J wrap – even before the release!
The Monochrome Dream collection is intended to be simple and stylish – it’s inspired by the Breton stripes and Coco Channel projects and it’s really suitable for both daily and more special use. Perfect for those who love subtle but elegant colours and patterns. MD comes in two versions – silver and gold, my tester is the silver one. It’s made of 100% ethically sourced Egyptian cotton.
The wrap comes finished and ready to use from the box. It’s quite soft and mouldable from the beginning (but would benefit from some breaking in though). According to the manufacturer’s information, it’s 352 g/m2 but feels much thinner in hand – I’d say that it’s middle-thick wrap. It’s probably beacause of the weave that makes it quite heavy: a mix of twill and plain sateen weave. It’s flawless and perfectly finished.
It was very nice to wear it with my 2yo toddler (although more cush would be appreciated). I liked the support it gave to my arms and the fact that it didn’t loosen at all even if my daughter was wriggling a lot.
The colourway is perfect for outoor activities even on a windy rainy day.
The Monochrome Dream is grippy and toddler-supportive. I’d recommend it to the more experienced parents with heavier children, due to the weight of the wrap and the pattern.

Pomysł chusty w paski “a rebours”, czyli w poprzek, nieco mnie zaskoczył i szczerze mówiąc, nie byłam przekonana, dopóki nie zobaczyłam jej zamotanej – okazało się, że ten pomysł, nawiązujący do projektów Coco Channel, wygląda niezwykle elegancko na chuście i jest pełen wdzięku płynącego z prostoty.
Nigdy wcześniej nie miałam w ręku chusty Joy and Joe, jednak dzięki programowi ambasadorskiemu, w którym miałam okazję przez chwilę uczestniczyć (i będę tę przygodę miło wspominać), otrzymałam możliwość przetestowania chusty z najnowszej kolekcji – Monochrome Dream.
Chusta utkana jest w 100% z bawełny egipskiej. Zaskoczyła mnie jej gramatura, wg producenta 352 g/m2, ale mając ją w ręku, oceniłabym ją jako średniej grubości (waga jest konsekwencją sposobu tkania, mającego być połączeniem splotu jodełkowego oraz satynowego). Ładnie utkana i pozbawiona baboli.
Monochrome Dream to chusta wspaniała dla cięższych dzieci: czepliwa i mocna, nie luzowała nam się wcale podczas spaceru, mimo że moja dwulatka wierciła się sporo. Chusta z gatunku, co poniosą słonia. Gdyby jeszcze dawała poduszki na ramionach… Niemniej i bez nich jest z pewnością jedną z ciekawszych propozycji w średnim przedziale cenowym (cena rozm. 6 – £89.99, wypust w środę 13.04 o 18 GMT).
